ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ann is currently a resident of Eugene Oregon after relocating from South Bend Indiana. Before leaving Northern Indiana she had an extensive art exhibiting and art teaching career.  She has an Art Education Degree from Indiana University Bloomington, IN, and a Graduate Art Degree from Notre Dame.

Ann’s artwork is a reflection of her desire to explore new media and processes to achieve her expression. She incorporates collage, printmaking, painting, drawing, and assemblage to create finished pieces. Her materials may include scraps of her dyed paper, ephemera from nature, and discarded materials that can be recycled. Most of Ann's works are a response to nature and its fragility which is in opposition to its power. Ann’s images often reflect the patterns of constantly changing light in the landscape in which she exists and travels.
